What to Expect:Â HealingÂ
What to expect as symptoms fluctuate... and why that’s completely normal.
Â
Healing is not linear, and that’s okay.
Â
When things start to feel better, it’s easy to assume that every day should keep improving. But recovery, especially from pain, rarely works that way. It’s common to have good days and tougher days as your body adjusts and your system learns new patterns.
Book A Check-In
Think Of Healing Like Re-Training, Not Repairing.
You’re not “broken,” your body is re-learning how to move, load, and respond with less sensitivity.
Â
Sometimes, that process can stir things up temporarily.
Â
A mild flare-up doesn’t mean you’ve gone backwards; it often means your body is being challenged in a new, productiveÂ
Â
The goal isn’t to feel perfect every day, it’s to gradually expand what your body can handle without lasting irritation.
What’s Normal To Experience Along The Way:
-
Temporary increases in soreness after new exercises or activities
-
Pain shifting locations (for example, from the leg/hip to the lower back)
-
“Waves” of progress: feeling great one week and a little off the next
-
Realizing that setbacks are usually smaller or shorter than before
All of this is part of the body’s natural adjustment process.
When To Reach Out
If you notice a major change in your symptoms (new numbness, significant weakness, or anything alarming), let me know
Â
Otherwise, trust that mild to moderate fluctuations are part of the normal course of recovery and that you’re still moving forward.
Â
Especially in the early phases of us working together, it may be unclear what's normal and what's not - so never hesitate to let me know even if it doesn't seem like a big deal.
Â
You can always message me through the app or book a quick check-in if you’re unsure.
Book A Check InA Gentle Reminder:
-
You don’t have to “get it right” every day to make progress.
